Billikens Begin Training Ahead of Spain Trip

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis men's soccer has begun its 10 allowable days of practice in advance of this month's training trip to Madrid, Spain.

The Billikens will play at least two games and will train at some of the top soccer stadiums in Madrid during the May 23-30 trip. In addition, the Billikens will visit the SLU Madrid Campus where they will have the opportunity to interact with the SLU community.

Saint Louis is coming off a 2012 season in which it captured the 2012 A-10 Tournament title and won 16 games, the most since the 2001 campaign. For the 2013 season, which begins in August, the Billikens return leading scorer and Hermann Trophy semifinalist Robert Kristo (11G, 5A) as well as their top seven scorers from a year ago. All-Conference defenders Jon Roeckle and Anthony Manning also return for the Bills.
