Billikens Earn Fifth Seed for A-10 Championship

Saint Louis baseball has earned the fifth seed in next week's Atlantic 10 Conference baseball championship. The Billikens are the host school for the tournament, which begins on May 24 at the Billiken Sports Center. SLU will take on fourth-seeded George Washington at 5 p.m. in their first game.

Baseball Drops Season Finale

Saint Louis wraps up the 2017 regular season with a 6-2 loss at George Mason. The Billikens drop to a 32-20 overall record and 12-10 in Atlantic 10 Conference games. However, the Bills have secured a spot in next week's Atlantic 10 tournament at the Billiken Sports Center.

King Steals Home in SLU Victory

Trailing 2-1 with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the eighth inning, Saint Louis junior Alex King stole home to tie the game and spark a SLU rally. The Billikens topped George Mason 7-2 on the road, securing a spot in the Atlantic 10 Conference championship next weekend. The win moves Saint Louis to 32-19 overall and 12-9 in Atlantic 10 games.

Mahoney Powers Bilikens to 4-3 Win

Senior Devin Mahoney came off the bench to hit two home runs for the Billikens and power SLU to a 4-3 win over George Mason. The Patriots brought the tying run to third in the bottom of the ninth, but closer Ryan Lefner got the strikeout for his 11th save of the season. Saint Louis rises to 31-19 overall and 11-9 in Atlantic 10 games.

Baseball Wraps Up Regular Season at Mason

Trent Leimkuehler leads the Billikens with a .335 batting average and 20 doubles (22nd in NCAA). Jake Garella leads the squad with a .415 on-base percentage. Backstop James Morisano has a team-leading .554 slugging percentage with 10 home runs. On the mound, the Billikens rely on staff ace Miller Hogan. He posts a 7-2 record with a 2.13 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 80.1 innings pitched. Ryan Lefner anchors the Billiken bullpen with 10 saves.

Billikens Earn 30th Win of Season

Saint Louis earned its 30th win of the season with a 6-4 victory over SIU. It is the seventh 30-win season for head coach Darin Hendrickson and the ninth in SLU history.

Dubet Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

Saint Louis second baseman Cole Dubet has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference baseball Player of the Week, the league announced today. It is his first accolade of the season and the fourth time a Billiken has earned an A-10 weekly award this year.

Baseball Heads to Final Midweek of Season

Trent Leimkuehler leads the Billikens with a .339 batting average and 19 doubles (30th in NCAA). Jake Garella leads the squad with a .415 on-base percentage. Backstop James Morisano has a team-leading .569 slugging percentage with 10 home runs. On the mound, the Billikenswill start southpaw Aaron Patton. He has a 4-2 record with a 6.21 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 29.0 IP.

Billikens Take Series with 8-2 Victory

The Billikens hit two home runs and drew eight walks en route to an 8-2 win over the visiting Richmond Spiders. The win moves SLU to 29-19 overall and 10-9 in A-10 games. Aaron Case and Nick Reeser paced the Billiken offense. Case was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Reeser went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored.

Billikens Fall in Extra Innings

A grand slam in the top of the tenth dropped the Billikens to 28-19 overall and 9-9 in Atlantic 10 games this season. Leadoff hitter Aaron Case was 2-for-3 in the game with a home run and matched a school-record with three hit by pitch.

Baseball Tops Richmond in Nailbiter

Saint Louis rises to 28-18 overall and 9-8 in Atlantic 10 games with a 4-3 victory over Richmond at the Billiken Sports Center. The Spiders had the go-ahead run at first base in the top of the ninth with two outs, when a ball was ripped up the first base line. A backhanded snag from SLU first baseman Nick Reeser sealed the win for SLU.
