Saint Louis freshman outside hitter Maya Taylor has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference volleyball Rookie of the Week, the league announced today. Taylor was a standout for SLU last week, culminating in an All-Tournament selection at the Billiken Invitational. She had 61 kills (3.81 per set) with a .299 attack percentage in four matches last week. Against DePaul, Taylor notched 17 kills with a .375 attack percentage, both career highs. Saint Louis returns to action this Friday in a home contest against Dayton. The match will be part of SLU's Homecoming Weekend. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
