Former Billiken Natalia Yacaman, who concluded her collegiate playing career in 2016, serves as assistant coach for the Saint Louis University women’s tennis team while pursuing an MBA at SLU.


A native of Cartagena, Colombia, Yacaman posted four-year records of 65-22 in singles and 51-36 in doubles. She concluded her career tied for 11th in singles victories and tied for 12th in doubles wins on SLU’s all-time lists.


Yacaman earned an ITA national singles ranking during her senior year. She led the Billikens in singles winning percentage (16-1, .941) and helped the team collect a school-record 20 wins. As a junior, Yacaman tied for the team lead with 15 doubles victories.


As part of SLU’s 2013-14 squad that finished second at the Atlantic 10 Championship, Yacaman earned second-team All-Conference plaudits and the Bills’ Most Improved Player award. She tied for the team lead with 16 dual-meet singles wins.


Yacaman made an immediate impact as a freshman, leading the Billikens in overall winning percentage (.700) and tying for the team lead in total wins (28). She was tabbed Saint Louis’ Most Improved Player.


Also an outstanding student, Yacaman was named an ITA Scholar Athlete in 2014 and made the A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll three times. She graduated cum laude with a B.S.B.A. in international business.
