Saint Louis University graduate and former Billiken women’s basketball student manager Taylor Morano is in her first season as SLU’s director of women’s basketball operations/video coordinator. Morano returns to Saint Louis after serving one year as women’s basketball and volleyball operations associate at Illinois State.
“We are very happy to welcome back Taylor to Saint Louis University and the Billiken women’s basketball program,” head coach Lisa Stone said. “She did a wonderful job for us as a student manager, and I know she will do the same as our director of operations and video coordinator. Taylor's familiarity with our program, along with her love for SLU and Billiken women’s basketball, made her a great choice for this position.”
Prior to her appointment at ISU, Morano worked with the Chicago Sky of the WNBA as a youth basketball and ticket sales intern. She helped plan youth basketball programs, the Nike Elite Invitational Tournament, the Dwyane Wade/Chicago Sky Academy Camp, promotional events and theme nights on home game days. Morano also worked with ticket sales, game day operations and development.
A native of Lombard, Illinois, Morano served the Billikens as a student manager for five years. Her duties included preparing practice facilities, organizing team equipment and overseeing videotaping of games and practices.
Morano also spent a summer working as a camp counselor at the KE Children’s Summer Camp, where she organized and constructed activities and events.Morano is a 2015 graduate of Saint Louis. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in sports business.
