"This was the most demanding tournament we'll play this year," head
coach Jonathan Zych said. "It was a
good test to see where we are physically and mentally. The other four teams
there were deep from one through nine, and I believe our team is the best it's
been one through nine, so I feel good about that.
"Drew and Vuk winning their doubles flight was our biggest highlight,
and I'm pleased about our overall doubles record (8-7)," Zych said. "I also was
impressed with Pat Kella's finish. He's in the best shape of anyone on our
team, and he finished the tournament the strongest. Overall, this tournament
was good preparation for a successful year."
The Billikens are back in action Thursday, Oct. 6, hosting Lewis at
Dwight Davis Tennis Center. The match begins at 2:30 p.m.
