DEKALB, Ill. - Saint Louis senior Hilary Orf
became the first Billiken to claim All-Region honors after placing 18th at the
NCAA Midwest Regional Saturday in DeKalb, Ill.
Orf
finished the 6K in a time of 21:34.62. It was the final cross country race for
Orf, who goes down as the most decorated Billiken cross country student-athlete
ever. In addition to earning the All-Region nod, she owns the school records in
the 5K and 6K and is a three-time All-Conference selection.
Sophomore
Margo Richardson finished second on the Bills and 51st overall with at time of
22:25.89. Natalie Myers finished 155th with a time of 24:02.79, just
ahead of Lauren Fyalka who finished 156th with a time of 24:03.35.
Madie Alexander placed 162nd with a time of 24:20.84.
On the
men's side, Tim Zellmer led the Billikens with a 10K time of 34:16.22, which was
118th. Logan Davis was right on his heels with a finish of 34:20.13, good for
120th. Sean Canavin placed 104th with a time of 34:59.16, while Jack Hostettler
was 143rd with a time of 35.04.76. Eric Stoddard was 162nd with a time of
36:10. 76, while Thomas Bedhome placed 166th with a time of 36:36.97.
Overall,
the women's team placed 22nd, while the men's team placed 24th.
