At Garden City
Played right field and first base at Garden City (Kan.) Community College...was a second-team All-Jayhawk Community College Conference selection as a sophomore...led the squad in home runs (eight) and doubles (22) while hitting .337, driving in 48 RBIs and scoring 49 runs...helped the Broncbusters to a 41-23 record and an appearance in the Region VI baseball tournament.
