As a senior he led his team with a .505 average, .578 on-base percentage, 714 slugging percentage, 7 doubles, 6 triples, 28 RBIs, 29 runs, and 11 stolen bases...had a .920 fielding percentage at shortstop and was 6-2 with 2 saves, a 1.23 ERA, 56 K’s, and 14 BB on the bump. He helped his team win the Suffolk County AA Championship by pitching a four hit shutout and going 2-for-2 at the plate with two walks...was awarded the Carl Yastrzemski Award for the best baseball player in Suffolk County, N.Y...was selected as a Newsday/MSG Varsity All-Long Island honoree and Player of the Year...earned the Newsday/MSG Varsity “Ryan T. Caulfield” Memorial Grand Slam Challenge in Nassau...first team All-State by the New York State Sportswriter’s Association and All-Northeast Region by Rawlings/Perfect Game.
