AMHERST, Mass. - Senior
Brittney Cloudy ended her Atlantic 10
Conference career in style Sunday, winning the triple jump at the A-10 Outdoor
Track and Field Championships for her eighth career conference title.
Cloudy
just missed her personal best in the triple jump, posting a mark of 41-7.75.
Yesterday, she won the long jump at the A-10s. For her efforts, she was named
the A-10 Field Performer of the Year, an award she also garnered during the
indoor season.
Earning
All-Conference honors on day two for the Billikens was Hilary Orf, Margo Richardson
and Dahmar Smiles. Orf placed
second in the 5,000 meters, finishing in 16:45.04. Richardson was the second
finisher in the 1,500 meters, crossing the line in 4:26.97. Smiles placed
second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.31.
As a
team, the women's squad finished sixth, which marks a program best. The men's
team placed ninth, which ties its program best set last year.

members of the track and field team are expected to qualify for the NCAA West
Prelims, which begin May 24 in Austin, Texas.
