ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis reliever Travis Parker picked up his third
All-America honor today after being named a second-team All-American by
CollegeBaseballInsider.com.
Previously, Parker was named a Louisville Slugger
second-team All-American by Collegiate
Baseball Newspaper and a Rawlings third-team All-American by the American
Baseball Coaches Association.
Parker did not allow an earned run all season, posting a 3-1
ledger on the mound in a school-record 27 appearances. He recorded a
school-record 12 saves and struck out 32 batters. Parker owns the school record
with 22 career saves and ends his career with a 1.61 ERA in 50 appearances.
This season, Parker helped SLU set the school record in wins
as the Billikens went 41-18. SLU also claimed a share of the Atlantic 10
Conference regular-season title for the first time in school history.
