ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis University Cancer Center and Billiken Athletics will hold the fourth annual Billiken 5K run/walk on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 8 a.m. The race, which loops around the University campus, starts and ends at Chaifetz Arena.

Those wishing to register may do so on the official race website, www.billiken5k.com. All net proceeds from the event will support the SLU Cancer Center.

By registering now through Aug. 28, you can sign up for just $20, which guarantees a race T-shirt. The registration is $25 from Aug. 29 through Sept. 7, and $30 the day of the race. T-shirts are not guaranteed if you do not sign up by Aug. 28. All who register receive a free ticket to the Marcia E. Hamilton Volleyball Classic, which the Billikens are hosting Sept. 7-8.

Registrants are encouraged to form teams. The group, organization or department with the most registrants will receive $1,000 and a traveling trophy. In addition, randomly selected SLU students participating in the event will receive a $1,000, $500 or $250 scholarship.
