Bills Dominate Dual Meet at Wash U

ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis swimming and diving teams opened the 2012-13 season successfully Friday night, defeating Washington University in a dual meet at Wash U.

The Billiken women won 11 of 13 events and prevailed 147-84, while the Billiken men captured 10 of 13 events and posted a 140.5-86.5 victory.

Lizzy Osterman, Jalynn Gieseke, Morgan Peterson and Christiana Eltiste were double winners for the women's team. Justin Pasquesi and Zack Billingsley each won two events for the men's squad.

Peterson broke the Wash U pool record in the 200 individual medley, clocking a time of 2:07.48 to top the mark set by former Billiken Elena Ramirez.

Saint Louis returns to action Sunday at the Butler Quad in Indianapolis.
