Nebraska Omaha Wednesday, while WIU suffered a 68-58 defeat at SIUE Monday.

TIME OUT - Lorreal Jones and Mallory
Eggert tied for game-high honors with 12 points apiece to lead SLU to a
51-42 victory at Nebraska Omaha Nov. 21. Jones grabbed a game-high nine
rebounds, while Eggert and Jacy Bradley collected seven boards apiece. Desirae
Ball tied her career high with six rebounds and Halee Castleman
added five as Saint Louis dominated UNO 46-23 on the glass. SLU enjoyed another
strong outing at the foul line, shooting 79 percent (15-of-19), and held Omaha
to 30-percent shooting.
ABOUT THE BILLIKENS - Lorreal Jones leads Saint
Louis in scoring (11.8 ppg), rebounding (7.8 rpg), offensive rebounding (3.3
orpg) and field goal shooting (55.6 percent). Courtney Webb checks in
with 10.3 points per game and a team-high six 3-pointers. Jacy Bradley
averages 6.8 points, ranks second on the team in rebounding (5.3 rpg) and tops
the Bills with 15 assists and six steals. Mallory Eggert averages 8.0
points and 5.0 rebounds, and Desirae Ball averages 6.0 points. The Billikens
are +8.0 in rebounding margin and are shooting 80.4 percent from the free-throw
line.
SCOUTING
WESTERN ILLINOIS - Saule Kontautaite (13.3 ppg), Charnelle Reed (13.0 ppg) and
Michelle Maher (12.8 ppg) lead a WIU offense that relies heavily on the 3-point
shot (40-of-102, .392). Kontautaite and Maher are 10-of-28 (.357) each from
beyond the arc, and Reed is 9-of-14 (.643). Michele Salvatori leads the
Leathernecks in rebounding (5.3 rpg), while Rebecca Henricson has team-high
averages in assists (4.8) and steals (3.0).
THE
SLU-WESTERN ILLINOIS SERIES
- The Leathernecks lead the series 11-2. However, the Billikens captured the
last meeting 84-58 in the 2006-07 season.
