BILLS, TIGERS CLASH AT CHAIFETZ ARENA - Following a 10-day break, Saint
Louis looks to continue its winning ways as the Billikens host Memphis
Wednesday, Dec. 19. Tip time at Chaifetz Arena is 4 p.m. SLU has evened its
record at 5-5 by winning five of its last seven games, a feat that hadn't been
accomplished since the 2008-09 season. Memphis snapped a four-game skid and
improved to 4-5 with an 80-57 win over Alabama A&M last Friday.
TWO GAMES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE - Following the SLU-Memphis game,
the Billiken men's team takes on Eastern Illinois at 7 p.m. One ticket is good
for both games. General admission tickets for the Billiken women's game are
available for $10 for adults and $5 for youth.

LAST TIME OUT - Jacy Bradley scored a game-high and team-season-high 23 points, and
Saint Louis overcame a late challenge to defeat Evansville 63-59 Dec. 9 in
Evansville. Bradley tied her career high and tied for team-high honors with
eight rebounds, and she added a game-high six assists. Lorreal Jones had 12 points, eight rebounds and
three assists for Saint Louis, which established a season scoring high. Courtney
Webb tossed in 12
points, Desirae Ball chipped in six points, four assists and a game-high three steals, and
Mallory Eggert
grabbed six rebounds. SLU outrebounded Evansville 38-33 and committed a
season-low eight turnovers.
ABOUT THE BILLIKENS - Lorreal Jones leads Saint Louis in scoring
(11.8 ppg), rebounding (7.8 rpg) and offensive rebounding (3.1 orpg). Mallory
Eggert is second
in rebounding (7.1 rpg) and offensive rebounding (2.5 orpg) and third in
scoring (10.7 ppg) while shooting a team-high 50.6 percent from the floor. Courtney
Webb is second in
scoring (11.2 ppg), averages 4.1 rebounds and has a team-high 18 3-pointers. Jacy
Bradley averages
7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds while leading the squad in assists (4.9 apg). Desirae
Ball owns a 7.3
scoring mark and leads the team with 13 steals. The Bills are +7.5 in
rebounding margin, are shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 72.7 percent
from the free-throw line, and are allowing 55.8 points per game.
SCOUTING MEMPHIS - The Tigers, who went 25-8 and reached the WNIT second
round last year, are without starters Mooriah Rowser (12.0 ppg, 4.7 rpg) and Bilqis
Abdul-Qaadir (8.5 ppg, 3.5 apg) due to injury. Nicole Dickson leads Memphis in
scoring (19.6 ppg), rebounding (6.9 rpg) and steals (2.2 spg), and Ariel Hearn
tops the team in assists (4.2 apg) while averaging 12.8 points and 5.1
rebounds. Pa'Sonna Hope and Ann Jones average 7.8 and 6.9 points, respectively,
and Hope hauls in 6.2 boards per game. The Tigers average 71.7 points and allow
an average of 68.1 points. They are +3.6 in rebounding margin (16.3 offensive
rebounds per game).
THE SLU-MEMPHIS SERIES - The Tigers lead the series
between the former Conference USA rivals 24-4. Memphis has won three straight
over SLU; the Bills last defeated the Tigers 59-58 (OT) in St. Louis on Feb.
25, 2005.
