BILLIKENS LOOK TO
CONQUER MUSKETEERS - Saint Louis (8-12, 2-3 Atlantic 10) travels to Cincinnati to
take on Xavier (6-13, 0-5) Thursday, Jan. 31. Tip time at Cintas Center is 6
p.m. (CT). The Billikens will attempt to halt a 14-game losing streak against
Xavier and defeat the Musketeers for the first time in an A-10 contest.

Ball equaled her
career scoring high and Lorreal Jones posted a second consecutive double-double, but Charlotte
walked away with a 71-54 victory over Saint Louis Jan. 27 at Chaifetz Arena.
Ball tied her career high for field goals (8-of-11), including a pair of
3-pointers, and finished with 18 points. Jones was 6-of-9 from the floor in her
14-point performance, and her season-high 13 rebounds included four offensive
boards. Jacy Bradley tallied seven points, six rebounds and five assists, while Halee
Castleman chipped
in a career-high four assists.

LEADERS - Lorreal
Jones leads SLU
in scoring (12.0 ppg), rebounding (8.1 rpg), offensive rebounding (3.1 orpg)
and field goal shooting (48.8 percent). Courtney Webb (9.1 ppg), Mallory Eggert (9.0 ppg), Jacy Bradley (9.0 ppg) and Desirae Ball (8.4 ppg) follow Jones on the
scoring chart, while Eggert (6.5 rpg) and Bradley (4.3 rpg) are second and
third, respectively, in rebounding. Bradley leads the squad in assists (4.8
apg), and her 25 3-pointers are second to Webb's 29.
SCOUTING
XAVIER - The Musketeers bring a seven-game
losing streak into Thursday's game. Xavier has suffered several narrow defeats,
including conference losses of two points to Duquesne, four points to Butler
and seven points to Fordham. Xavier also fell to Richmond by 10 points in
overtime. Amber Gray leads the Musketeers in scoring (10.9 ppg) and pulls down
6.0 rebounds per game, while Ashley Wanninger owns a 10.0 scoring average and a
team-high 39 3-pointers. Jessica Pachko scores at a 9.6 ppg clip and leads
Xavier with a 6.9 rebounding mark, Shatyra Hawkes averages 9.3 points and a
team-high 3.5 assists, and Lakeisha Crouch produces 7.1 points and 6.1 rebounds
per game. The Musketeers are +4.3 in rebounding margin and lead the Atlantic 10
in free-throw attempts (19.9 per game).
