RETURN TO .500 IN A-10 - Saint Louis (10-14, 4-5 A-10) hosts Fordham (17-7, 7-2
A-10) in a key Atlantic 10 Conference clash Sunday, Feb. 17, at Chaifetz Arena.
Game time is 1 p.m. With five games remaining, the Billikens are trying to
vault into the upper half of the A-10 standings, while the Rams attempt to stay
in contention for a first-round bye in the A-10 Championship.

ACTIVITIES ABOUND THIS SUNDAY - In conjunction with the
SLU-Fordham contest, three important activities will take place at Chaifetz
Arena this Sunday. The game has been designated as the Billikens' "Pink Out" in
support of cancer awareness and research. The Billikens will wear pink
uniforms, and 750 pink Billiken T-shirts will be handed out to those in
attendance. Fans will have an opportunity to make donations, and all proceeds
will benefit the Saint Louis University Cancer Center. Also, Sunday is SLU
Women's Basketball Alumnae Day, with several former Billikens scheduled to
attend and be recognized during halftime. Finally, the Billikens will celebrate
Senior Day. Following the game, seniors Jacy Bradley, Mallory Eggert and Courtney Webb will be honored for their
contributions to the program.

TIME OUT - A
3-pointer at the buzzer gave La Salle a 49-46 victory over Saint Louis Feb. 13
in Philadelphia. The game-winning shot came just moments after a 3-pointer by Jacy
Bradley, who led
SLU with 17 points, tied the game at 46. Bradley added game highs of five
assists and three steals. Desirae Ball had 13 points and three assists, while Mallory
Eggert narrowly
missed a double-double with nine points and a game-high nine rebounds. The
Billikens topped the Explorers 37-32 on the boards. La Salle scored 14 points
in the first half, the lowest total by a Billiken opponent in any half this
season.
BILLIKEN
LEADERS - SLU
features a balanced offensive attack, with five players averaging between 8.4
and 11.1 points. Lorreal Jones leads the way at 11.1 ppg, followed by Jacy Bradley (9.9 ppg), Desirae Ball (9.3 ppg), Courtney Webb (8.6 ppg) and Mallory Eggert (8.4 ppg). Jones also tops the
SLU charts in rebounding (8.4 rpg), offensive rebounding (3.2 orpg) and field
goal shooting (.467). Eggert pulls down 6.1 rebounds per game, with Bradley and
Halee Castleman
tied for third at 4.2 rpg. Bradley averages a team-high 4.8 assists. Webb and
Bradley lead the Bills in 3-pointers with 33 and 31, respectively.
SCOUTING
FORDHAM - Fordham
ranks second in the A-10 in scoring defense, allowing just 52.5 points per
game, and has held nine opponents to fewer than 50 points. The Rams lead the
league in free-throw shooting (.760), rank third in fewest turnovers (14.4 tpg)
and are fourth in 3-pointers per game (5.4). Marah Strickland averages a
team-high 14.0 points and is followed closely by Erin Rooney, who tallies 13.9
points per game. Strickland and Rooney are seventh and eighth, respectively, on
the A-10 scoring list; Strickland ranks first (.871) and Rooney is second
(.846) in the league in free-throw shooting. Samantha Clark (6.5 rpg) and Abigail
Corning (6.3 rpg) are Fordham's top rebounders, while Arielle Collins is third
in the A-10 in steals (2.6 spg). The Rams, who last month went to Charlotte and
handed the 49ers their only conference loss to date, are coming off a 66-56 win
over George Washington.
UP NEXT - The
Billikens host Butler Wednesday, Feb. 20, at noon. SLU will welcome local
elementary and middle-school students to Chaifetz Arena for Billiken women's
basketball's third annual Education Day.
