Bills, No. 1 Seed Saint Joseph?s Meet Thursday at 9 a.m. (CT)

RAIN POSSIBILITY CHANGES GAME TIMES AGAIN – Saint Louis (27-21) defeated George Washington in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship and will take on top-seeded Saint Joseph's (34-8-1) Thursday at 9 a.m. (CT). The game originally was scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT), but a threatening weather forecast caused league officials to opt for an earlier start time. The six-team, double-elimination A-10 Championship is being held at Sortino Field on the campus of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

LORE, BILLIKENS HANDLE GW IN OPENER – The fifth-seeded Billikens knocked off fourth-seeded George Washington 4-2 Wednesday in the tournament opener. Brianna Lore tossed a five-hitter, and four different Billikens drove in a run apiece – Elizabeth Everingham, Erin Harcar, Laura Bohning and Kelsey Biggs. Bohning was 2-for-4.

Following the SLU-Saint Joseph's game Thursday, Temple will take on No. 2 Fordham, and GW will play an elimination game against the lower-seeded loser from the first two Thursday games.

BILLIKENS, HAWKS SPLIT REGULAR-SEASON SERIES – Saint Louis and Saint Joseph's split a doubleheader in St. Louis April 21. In the opener, the Billikens scored four runs in the third inning – all with two outs – and held on for a 4-2 victory. Brianna Lore pitched a five-hitter, Jessica Van Nostrand hit a two-run home run, and Laura Bohning and Kelsey Biggs had an RBI apiece. SLU was on the verge of a sweep in the nightcap, but Saint Joseph's scored twice with two outs in the seventh to force extra innings and went on to capture a 5-3, nine-inning win. Elizabeth Everingham smacked a two-run homer, Van Nostrand was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Biggs collected a pair of hits.
