LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Several Billikens competed at the Cardinal Twilight over the weekend on the campus of the University of Louisville. The meets served as a “last chance” to improve times and marks for the NCAA Division I Preliminary Rounds on May 23-25.

Hannah Kuenzel improved her school-record mark in the hammer throw, posting a distance of 158 feet, three inches.

The Billikens now await the selections for the NCAA Division I Preliminary Rounds, which will be announced Thursday, May 16, by noon (CT). The top 48 athletes in each event in the West (Austin, Texas) and East (Greensboro, N.C.) regions advance to the NCAA Preliminary Rounds. From there, the fields will be whittled down to the top-12 competitors from the two regions to the determine the final field at the NCAA Track and Field Championships, to be held June 5-8 in Eugene, Ore.
