AUSTIN, Texas – The highly successful 2013 track and field season came to a close this weekend at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas. 

Margo Richardson competed in the 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters. In the 1,500, she finished 37th overall with a time of 4:34.88. She finished 34th overall in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:59.18.

Jessica Hoefert placed 30th in the 10K with a time of 36:43.70. That is an improvement from her ranking of 46th in the region entering the event.

Kita Alvares registered a school record in the 400-meter hurdles of 59.56 to advance to the semifinals, where she placed 24th overall.
