THE BASICS

Sadie Stipanovich and Jordyn Frantz scored 15 points apiece and Olivia Jakubicek tossed in a season-high 14, but Duquesne recorded a 94-65 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Saint Louis Wednesday night at the A.J. Palumbo Center.

•The Billikens slipped to 14-5 overall and 4-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Duquesne improved to 10-10, 3-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Sadie Stipanovich scored nine points in the first 3:47 of the game to lift Saint Louis to an 11-9 lead.

•Duquesne scored the next five points to go on top 14-11 before a Jordyn Frantz 3-pointer tied it at 14.

•The game was knotted at 16 with 4:07 left, but Duquesne assembled a 13-2 run to take a 29-18 lead after one period.

•The Dukes expanded the run to 21-2 and led 37-18 three minutes into the second quarter. A 12-0 flurry to end the quarter made it 55-25 at intermission.

•The Billikens shot a solid 47.2 percent from the field in the second half but were not able to trim the deficit under 24 points.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES

Olivia Jakubicek was 5-of-7 from the field, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range, and collected a team-high nine rebounds (three offensive).

Sadie Stipanovich was 6-of-10 shooting and made her only 3-point attempt. Stipanovich needs  just seven points to take over fifth place on SLU’s career list.

Jordyn Frantz hit three of the Billikens’ six 3-pointers and added four assists.

Jenny Vliet pulled down a career-high five offensive rebounds among her six total. Vliet also tied her season high with a game-high six assists.

•Amadea Szamosi, 27 points, 10 rebounds; Julijana Vojinovic, 24 points, five rebounds, four assists; Chassidy Omogrosso, 16 points, four assists.
