DAYTON, Ohio – Saint Louis fell 67-46 at Dayton on Sunday afternoon in Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball action at UD Arena.
SLU falls to 5-14 overall and 1-6 in league play, while Dayton moves into first place all alone in the A-10 with a 15-4 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the league.
Mike Crawford led the Billikens with 11 points and tied a season high with eight rebounds. Aaron Hines chipped in with nine points. Reggie Agbeko and Davell Roby recorded seven points apiece.
The Billikens got off to a fast start, going on top 10-4 a little more than three minutes into the contest. But Dayton would go on a 21-2 rally from that point and ended up taking a 31-18 lead into the break.
The second half saw the Flyers shoot 50 percent from the field, and they held a comfortable lead throughout en route to the 21-point win.
The Billikens return to Chaifetz Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 25, when they welcome Massachusetts to town. The game tips at 7 p.m. and will be televised on FOX Sports Midwest. The game serves as the annual Billiken Blue Out, and the new Billiken mascot will be introduced at halftime.
