•Kaylea Chappelle allowed just two runs, but Saint Louis saw its winning streak halted at seven with a 2-0 loss at Murray State Thursday night on day one of the Racer Classic.
•The game was stopped in the bottom of the sixth inning due to rain.
•The Billikens fell to 10-5, while the Racers improved to 17-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Murray State tallied single runs in the third and fourth innings.
•Saint Louis received a pair of two-out walks in the fourth but could not capitalize.
•In the fifth, the Billikens again put two runners on with a leadoff walk and a two-out single by Josie Knesel. A wild pitch moved the runners to second and third, but SLU was kept off the board again.
•The Billikens stranded two more runners in the sixth following singles by Mackenzie Peter and Alyssa Tarquinio.
•Chappelle (3-1) struck out three and allowed seven hits.
