•Mackenzie Lawson and Alyssa Tarquinio had three hits apiece in Saint Louis’ 3-2, 10-2 Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader loss at Rhode Island Sunday.
•The Billikens slipped to 14-16 overall and 3-5 in the A-10.
•Rhode Island improved to 5-18, 3-3.
GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Rhode Island got on the board first, scoring twice in the bottom of the third inning.
•Saint Louis got one of the runs back on Mackenzie Peter’s sixth home run of the season leading off the fourth.
•The Rams scored what proved to be the decisive run in the fifth.
•Lawson’s two-out RBI single in the sixth made it a one-run game, but the Billiken rally was halted.

•Lawson registered two hits.
•Tarquinio had a hit.
GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Rhode Island struck for four runs in the first inning and three more in the second.
•Lawson hit her second home run of the season, a two-run shot, in the second.
•The Rams clinched the victory with three tallies in the sixth.

•Tarquinio picked up two hits.
•Hailey Weavers and Emma Buckles recorded a hit apiece.
