Richmond scored in the 22nd minute to come away with a 1-0 victory over Saint Louis Sunday in Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey action at Richmond's Crenshaw Field.

The Billikens fall to 2-5 overall, 0-2 in A-10 play. Richmond improves to 3-5 and 1-0 in the league.

Both teams had chances on the rainy afternoon. Richmond had a slight edge in shots at 14-10 and managed a 13-4 advantage in penalty corners.

It was on a corner that Richmond's Nealy Henderson scored the game-winning goal. She slipped one past SLU goalie Sasha Sander for the game's only score.

The Billikens are next in action on Friday, Sept. 21, against Saint Francis for the home opener at Sportport International in Maryland Heights, Mo. Game time is 5 p.m. (CT).
