SETTING THE SCENE
-- Saint Louis plays its first Atlantic 10 Conference road game on Saturday when it travels to Philadelphia to face La Salle. Game time from Gola Arena is 5 p.m. (CT).

-- The game will be televised on NBC Sports Network. Terry Gannon, Ben Braun and Rob Dauster are on the call.

-- The radio broadcast will air on 101 ESPN (101.1 FM and 101Sports.com). As always, Billiken Hall of Famer Bob Ramsey provides the play-by-play, while St. Louis American Sports Editor and St. Louis Sports Hall of Famer Earl Austin Jr. handles the analysis.

THINGS TO KNOW
-- Saint Louis (11-4, 2-0 A-10) hits the road for its first A-10 road games, beginning Saturday when the Billikens face La Salle (3-11, 1-1 A-10) in Philadelphia. 

-- The Billikens have won three in a row and are 2-0 in league play for the first time since 2014.

-- Saint Louis defeated UMass 65-62 in its last outing. Hasahn French recorded a career-high 25 points, while Tramaine Isabell Jr. had 17 points and posted game highs of seven assists and seven boards.

-- Senior guard Javon Bess is the reigning Atlantic 10 Conference co-Player of the Week. He tied a career high with 24 points in the win against Rhode Island and once against contributed to the Billikens’ shutdown defensive effort.

-- Bess leads the Bills in scoring (15.5 ppg; 11th in A-10) and 3-pointers made (30). He is second on the team in rebounding (6.9 rpg; 7th in A-10).

-- Sophomore guard Jordan Goodwin averages 9.8 ppg and leads SLU in assists (47) and steals (33). He also pulls down 6.1 rpg.

-- Senior guard Tramaine Isabell Jr. is second on the Billikens in scoring with 12.4 ppg. He registered his 1,000th career point on Dec. 22 against Florida State.

-- Sophomore forward Hasahn French is on an impressive three game stretch, averaging 15.3 ppg and 9.6 rpg over the span. For the year, he leads the Billikens and is fourth in the A-10 with 7.7 rpg.

-- Saint Louis is 16th in the NCAA in adjusted defensive efficiency at kenpom.com. The Billikens lead the A-10 in scoring defense, yielding 62.6 ppg.

-- SLU remains on the road for Tuesday’s game at Fordham.

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
-- La Salle enters Saturday’s game with a 3-11 record and a 1-1 mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play.

-- The Explorers had a three-game winning streak snapped in their last outing, falling 69-63 at VCU after being up by as many as 18 points in the first half.

-- La Salle won the Boardwalk Battle tournament in Atlantic City just before Christmas, defeating Alabama A&M and Towson. The Explorers then won their A-10 opener at UMass.

-- Pookie Powell leads the team in scoring with 17.7 ppg. Traci Carter is La Salle’s leader in assists (48) and steals (29).

-- Head coach Ashley Howard is in his first season at La Salle. He served as an assistant coach at Villanova from 2013 to 2018 and was part of two NCAA championship teams.
