SETTING THE SCENE
-- Saint Louis takes on the Dayton Flyers on Tuesday night at Chaifetz Arena. Tip time is slated for 8 p.m.

-- The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network. Rich Waltz and Dan Dickau are on the call.

-- The radio broadcast will air on 101 ESPN (101.1 FM and 101Sports.com). Billiken Hall of Famers Bob Ramsey (play-by-play) and Earl Austin Jr. (analyst) are on the call.

PROMOTIONS
-- Tuesday is Star Wars night. Star Wars characters will be located throughout the concourse before and during the game.

-- SLU students in attendance will receive a free Star Wars-themed t-shirt. Additionally, a student party with free pizza begins at 7:15 p.m. in Chaifetz Pavilion.

-- The Zuzu Acrobats will perform at halftime.

THINGS TO KNOW
-- Saint Louis is looking to break a season-high four-game skid, which includes dropping two-straight at Chaifetz Arena where they started the season 11-0. 

-- This is the first of two games against Dayton and is also the 60th meeting all-time. The series began in the 1950s. SLU and UD meet again Feb. 23 in Dayton, Ohio.

-- The Billikens are coming off a 65-54 loss at Rhode Island on Saturday. Hasahn French recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Jordan Goodwin chipped in a team-high 17 points.

-- Senior guard Javon Bess continues to lead the Billikens in scoring with 15.8 ppg, ninth in the A-10. He also leads Saint Louis in 3-pointers made (48). Bess' 16.3 ppg in A-10 games only is fifth in the league.

-- Sophomore forward Hasahn French has recorded three-straight double-doubles and has eight for the season. He leads the league in rebounding in conference games only with 9.8 rpg. French has climbed to sixth in school history with 96 career blocked shots.

-- Sophomore guard Jordan Goodwin averages 10.4 ppg and leads SLU in assists (78) and steals (46; third in A-10). He also pulls down 6.9 rpg, second on the team.

-- Senior guard Tramaine Isabell Jr. is second on the Billikens in scoring (10.5 ppg) and assists (69). Senior guard Dion Wiley has hit a trey in seven-straight games.

-- Saint Louis is 34th in the NCAA in adjusted defensive efficiency at kenpom.com. The Billikens are second in the A-10 in scoring defense, yielding 63.6 ppg.

-- The Billikens play five of their next seven games in February on the road.

-- Up next, SLU takes on Saint Joseph's on Friday in Philadelphia on ESPN2.

ABOUT THE FLYERS
-- Dayton is riding a three-game winning streak and enters Tuesday's game 15-7 overall and 7-2 in league play.

-- Dayton and Saint Louis players make up five of the top 10 rebound-per-game leaders in the conference. Trey Landers averages 7.3 rpg, and Josh Cunningham averages 7.1 rpg. 

-- Forward Obi Toppin tallies 12.9 ppg while scoring with a .691 field goal percentage, which ranks second in the conference.

-- Guard Jalen Crutcher leads the A-10 with 5.9 assists per game. He also carries a 2.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.

-- Head coach Anthony Grant is in his second season at Dayton. He has led the school to a 29-24 record in his two years with the Flyers.
