SETTING THE SCENE
-- Saint Louis takes on the Dayton Flyers on Tuesday night at Chaifetz Arena. Tip time is slated for 8 p.m.

-- Tuesday is Star Wars night. Star Wars characters will be located throughout the concourse before and during the game.

THINGS TO KNOW
-- Saint Louis is looking to break a season-high four-game skid, which includes dropping two-straight at Chaifetz Arena where they started the season 11-0.
-- This is the first of two games against Dayton and is also the 60th meeting all-time. The series began in the 1950s. SLU and UD meet again Feb. 23 in Dayton, Ohio.
-- The Billikens are coming off a 65-54 loss at Rhode Island on Saturday. Hasahn French recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Jordan Goodwin chipped in a team-high 17 points.
-- Senior guard Javon Bess continues to lead the Billikens in scoring with 15.8 ppg, ninth in the A-10. He also leads Saint Louis in 3-pointers made (48). Bess' 16.3 ppg in A-10 games only is fifth in the league.
-- Sophomore forward Hasahn French has recorded three-straight double-doubles and has eight for the season. He leads the league in rebounding in conference games only with 9.8 rpg. French has climbed to sixth in school history with 96 career blocked shots.
-- Sophomore guard Jordan Goodwin averages 10.4 ppg and leads SLU in assists (78) and steals (46; third in A-10). He also pulls down 6.9 rpg, second on the team.
-- Senior guard Tramaine Isabell Jr. is second on the Billikens in scoring (10.5 ppg) and assists (69). Senior guard Dion Wiley has hit a trey in seven-straight games.
-- Saint Louis is 34th in the NCAA in adjusted defensive efficiency at kenpom.com. The Billikens are second in the A-10 in scoring defense, yielding 63.6 ppg.
-- The Billikens play five of their next seven games in February on the road.

ABOUT THE FLYERS
-- Dayton is riding a three-game winning streak and enters Tuesday's game 15-7 overall and 7-2 in league play.
-- Dayton and Saint Louis players make up five of the top 10 rebound-per-game leaders in the conference. Trey Landers averages 7.3 rpg, and Josh Cunningham averages 7.1 rpg.
