SETTING THE SCENE
-- Saint Louis takes on first-place VCU on Tuesday night at the Stuart C. Siegel Center in Richmond, Va. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

THINGS TO KNOW
-- Saint Louis continues its challenging two-game roadswing with a Tuesday night showdown at first-place VCU.
-- The Billikens enter the weekend seventh in the league standings with an 8-6 record. Saint Louis is among a group of teams fighting for a top-four spot in the league standings, which would give the Bills a double-bye in the A-10 Championship. VCU has a one-game lead in the A-10 with a 12-2 record.
-- Saint Louis is coming off a 70-62 loss to Dayton on Saturday. Tramaine Isabell Jr. led the way with 23 points. D.J. Foreman added 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting, while Javon Bess grabbed 12 rebounds.
-- Senior guard Javon Bess leads the Billikens in scoring with 15.6 ppg, 10th in the A-10. In A-10 games only, he is third in the league with 15.6 ppg. Bess is 14 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
-- Sophomore forward Hasahn French leads the Billikens with nine double-doubles. He is second in the Atlantic 10 in rebounding with 8.5 rpg.
-- Sophomore guard Jordan Goodwin averages 9.9 ppg and leads SLU in assists (102) and steals (52; T3rd in A-10). He pulls down 7.0 rpg, second on the team.
-- Senior guard Tramaine Isabell Jr. is second on the Billikens in scoring (11.8 ppg) and assists (86).
-- The Billikens are the A-10 leaders in rebounding margin at +5.9. SLU is especially strong on the offensive glass as it posts 13.3 orpg, 14th in the NCAA.
-- The Billikens play two of their final three regular-season games at Chaifetz Arena, beginning Saturday when they host George Mason at 2 p.m.
SCOUTING VCU
-- The Rams enter Tuesday's game 21-6 overall and 12-2 in the A-10.
-- Marcus Evans leads VCU with 13.7 ppg. De'Riante Jenkins (11.7 ppg) and Issac Vann (10.8 ppg) also score in double figures.
-- Marcus Santos-Silva contributes 9.9 ppg and pull down a team-best 7.0 rpg.
-- The Rams lead the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense, yielding 61.7 ppg.
-- Head coach Mike Rhoades is in his second season at VCU.
