THE BASICS

Every Saint Louis starter had at least two hits as the Billikens won twice in the Billiken Spring Tournament Friday, defeating Omaha 7-2 and Northern Colorado 8-5.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED

• Omaha tallied twice in the top of the first inning, only to see Saint Louis even the score in the bottom half on Megan LoBianco’s two-out, two-run double.

• The Billikens exploded for five runs in the fifth, beginning with LoBianco’s sacrifice fly. Kaylyn Breitbach followed with a two-run home run, her second of the season, and Kat Lane drove in the final two runs with a single.

GAME 1 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• Northern Colorado scored its first run in the top of the second.

• Lawson blasted her second homer of the season, a three-run shot, in the third to expand the lead to 7-1.

• Wise’s two-out RBI single in the fifth put the Bills in front 8-1.

• Northern Colorado brought the tying run to the plate after scoring four unearned runs in the seventh, but starter Aubrey Hacke was able to nail down the final out.

GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES

• Hacke recorded her first win as a Billiken. She allowed no earned runs, fanned four and walked only two.

• Lane went 3-for-4.
