ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis is the No. 1 seed for the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Soccer Championship that begins this weekend with four quarterfinal matchups.
The Billikens (14-3-2), who won a second straight A-10 regular-season title with a 9-0-1 league record, host No. 8 seed Duquesne (6-7-3, 4-5-1) Saturday, Nov. 2. Kickoff at Robert R. Hermann Stadium is set for 1 p.m. SLU and Duquesne did not face each other in the regular season.
George Washington (7-1-2 in A-10 play), the No. 2 seed, hosts No. 7 Saint Joseph's (4-5-1). No. 3 Massachusetts (6-3-1) hosts No. 6 Fordham (4-4-2), and No. 4 La Salle (6-4) hosts No. 5 Dayton (5-3-2).
SLU's Hermann Stadium also is the site for the tournament semifinals and final. The semifinals are scheduled for 1 and 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, and the title game will be played Sunday, Nov. 10, at noon. Should the Billikens defeat Duquesne, they will play in the 1 p.m. semifinal.
Saint Louis is the defending champion. The Billikens defeated Dayton, George Mason and VCU in last year's tournament to earn the A-10's automatic NCAA Championship bid.
