Field Hockey Falls to Georgetown

FENTON, Mo. - Saint Louis' Megan Rogers scored her first goal of the season in a 4-1 loss to Georgetown Sunday in a non-conference field hockey match at Soccer Park.

Rogers' goal came on one of SLU's seven penalty corners on the day. Lisa Smith and Caiti Brownell assisted on the scoring play.

The Billikens out-shot the Hoyas 13-12, and the squads each managed seven corners. But Georgetown scored three times in the first half and once again early in the second to seal their second win of the year (2-4). The Billikens fall to 0-7.

Saint Louis returns to action next weekend when they travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face Fairfield on Friday, Sept. 14, and Michigan Saturday, Sept. 15.
