EVANSTON, Ill. -- Saint Louis overcame a 2-0 deficit and forced a fifth set, but Delaware's late run in the decisive frame gave the Blue Hens a 25-21, 25-11, 21-25, 11-25, 17-15 win over the Billikens Saturday night at Northwestern's Wildcat Classic.           

Cassie Clarke, who had 12 kills, a .750 attack percentage (12-0-16), 33 assists, five blocks, seven digs and a match-high three service aces against Delaware, was named to the All-Tournament team.

Lindsey Dinkelacker led the Billikens with 13 kills and added nine digs, while Megan Gilbert posted 10 kills and four blocks. Carly Schumacher tied for match-high honors with six blocks to go with six kills (6-1-12, .417), and Carly Marcum tallied four blocks.

Grace Bonoma and Anna Church chalked up 21 and 13 digs, respectively, for the Billikens (5-8), who played their first five-set match of the season.

Trailing two sets to none, Saint Louis owned a 21-11 cushion in set three and survived a late Delaware surge to keep its hopes alive. In set four, the Billikens hit .407 and led by as many as 17 points as they tied the match.

Saint Louis appeared to be on its way to capturing set five and the match as the Bills held a 13-9 lead. But Delaware (3-9) put together an 8-2 flurry and walked away with a dramatic victory.

The Billikens open Atlantic 10 Conference play Friday, Sept. 21, at Xavier.
