ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis field hockey will host a fall youth clinic on Saturday, Oct. 8 beginning at 2 p.m. at Sportport in Maryland Heights, Mo. The clinic will feature instruction from U.S. National Team player Ali Froede. Registration is $45 and can be paid on-site at the clinic.

"We are extremely honored to have Ali Froede as our head clinician for our fall 2016 clinic," Saint Louis head field hockey coach Danielle Baumgardner said. "It is exciting to be able to offer high-level instruction and interaction with a U.S. National Team player to athletes in the Midwest."

Froede has been a member of the U.S. National Team since 2015 and has made six appearances with the squad. As a defender for Miami (Ohio), she was a two-time first-team All-MAC performer and earned NFHCA All-West Region accolades in 2013 and 2014.

Participants in the clinic will learn the fundamentals of field hockey from Froede and the Saint Louis field hockey team.  Attendees are asked to bring their own stick, shinguards, mouthguards and sneakers/turf shoes. Sportport does not allow cleats on the field.

The clinic is open to any and all participants 10 years of age or older. Guardians of attendees are asked to fill out the medical information and waiver forms attached to the “Related Links” section of this page.
