SLU ON THE ROAD FOR FINAL 2017 SERIES

The Saint Louis softball team (22-23, 10-10 Atlantic 10) concludes the regular season Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7, with an Atlantic 10 Conference series at St. Bonaventure (12-35, 2-15) in Olean, New York. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 11 a.m. (CT), while Sunday's single game is slated for 10 a.m. (CT).

ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE STANDINGS

•Prior to the final weekend of play, Saint Louis owns the sixth and final position for the A-10 Championship. The conference tournament is scheduled for Wednesday-Saturday, May 10-13, in Fairfax, Virginia (hosted by George Mason).

•Fordham (15-5) and Massachusetts (12-4) are tied for first place. Saint Joseph's (12-7) is third, followed by George Mason and Dayton in a fourth-place tie (11-9). Trailing Saint Louis are George Washington (9-11), La Salle (7-13), Rhode Island (7-13) and St. Bonaventure (2-15).

Alex Nickel leads the Billikens in batting average (.362), slugging percentage (.638), on-base percentage (.457), hits (51), runs (41), total bases (90), triples (six), walks (28), sacrifice flies (four) and stolen bases (11). Nickel has six home runs and 24 RBIs.

Allie Macfarlane is batting .352 with a team-high 45 RBIs. Macfarlane is tied for the team lead in home runs (eight) and doubles (11).

Mackenzie Peter carries a .301 batting average and is tied with Macfarlane with eight homers.

Josie Knesel owns a .287 batting average and seven doubles.

Alyssa Tarquinio has a .269 batting mark, two home runs and 17 RBIs.

Emma Buckles is hitting .266, leads the Billikens with five sacrifice bunts and has a team-high-tying 11 doubles.

Mackenzie Lawson has contributed four home runs and 20 RBIs.

Hailey Weavers has four home runs and 16 RBIs.

Maddie Baalman leads the pitching staff with 13 wins (including four shutouts), followed by Kaylea Chappelle with six and Kallen Loveless with three. Baalman's 2.66 ERA is the team's best.

BILLIKENS 19TH IN THE NATION IN DOUBLES

•Through games of May 1, Saint Louis ranks 19th in NCAA Division I in doubles per game (1.53). The Billikens are 33rd in triples per game (0.26).

Alex Nickel ranks 16th in triples per game (0.14), 35th in sacrifice flies (four) and 47th in runs per game (0.93).

Allie Macfarlane is 26th in RBIs per game (1.05).

SLU IN THE ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE STATISTICS

•In the Atlantic 10 Conference offensive statistics, Saint Louis leads the league in triples (11). The Billikens rank second in home runs (35) and walks (156) and are third in slugging percentage (.424).

Alex Nickel leads the conference in triples (six). Nickel is third in sacrifice flies (four) and fifth in slugging percentage (.638), total bases (90), runs (41) and walks (28).

Allie Macfarlane is third in RBIs (45).

Mackenzie Peter is tied for fourth in home runs (eight).

•In defensive categories, the Billikens top the A-10 in fielding percentage (.966), are second in double plays (13) and assists (411), and rank third in runners caught stealing (12).

Alyssa Tarquinio is tied for first in double plays (10) and ranks second in chances (362) and putouts (342).

Hailey Weavers is tied for second in runners caught stealing (10).

Alex Nickel is fourth in assists (109).

Allie Macfarlane is fifth in assists (107).

Maddie Baalman is fourth in innings (160 2/3) and starts (25), tied for fourth in appearances (29), fifth in strikeouts (112) and tied for fifth in wins (13).

NICKEL TIES CAREER HOME RUNS RECORD

Alex Nickel hit her 29th career home run in her first at-bat of the May 2 doubleheader vs. Indiana State, tying Lindsay Friedman for the Saint Louis record. Nickel also holds Billiken career marks for runs (163), total bases (338), walks (130), sacrifice flies (10) and assists (525). She is on pace to finish as the career leader in batting average (.347) and on-base percentage (.462).

•Nickel is second in hits (206), tied for third in doubles (33), fifth in RBIs (110) and at-bats (593), tied for seventh in triples (six), eighth in chances (877), ninth in stolen bases (41) and 10th in games started (196).

Allie Macfarlane has a school-record 129 RBIs. Macfarlane also is tied for fourth in home runs (23), seventh in total bases (240), tied for seventh in sacrifice flies (four), eighth in assists (298), ninth in walks (64) and tied for 10th in doubles (28).

Mackenzie Peter holds the SLU career doubles record (47) and leads in slugging percentage (.589). Other SLU top-10 rankings for Peter are second in total bases (297), third in home runs (26) and walks (85), fourth in runs (111), sixth in RBIs (97), tied for sixth in hits (162), tied for eighth in hit-by-pitch (14) and tied for 10th in triples (five).

Alyssa Tarquinio ranks second in putouts (1,123) and chances (1,204).

Maddie Baalman is tied for eighth in shutouts (five), ninth in wins (28), and 10th in strikeouts (177) and appearances (69).

Emma Buckles is tied for ninth in sacrifice bunts (21) and tied for 10th in doubles (28).

Hailey Weavers is tied for fifth in sacrifice flies (five), eighth in putouts (715), ninth in chances (840) and 10th in walks (60).
