BRONX, N.Y. - Laura Bohning belted her third home run of the season, but Fordham posted a 4-1 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over Saint Louis Friday afternoon.

Bohning's homer, which came with two outs in the fourth inning, gave SLU (17-22, 4-5 A-10) its first base runner and cut Fordham's advantage to 2-1. It also boosted her RBI total to 18, tying her for the team lead.

Unfortunately, the Billikens were unable to tally another hit off Fordham ace Jen Mineau (20-9), who walked two and struck out 10.

Saint Louis had the tying run at third with two outs in the fifth but couldn't push it across. Elise Fortier hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the inning to give Fordham (26-17, 10-1 A-10) some breathing room, and the Rams held on for the win.

Fordham plated single runs in the second and third innings off Hannah Huebbe (10-9), who struck out one while yielding five hits and five walks.

The Billikens and Rams meet again Saturday, with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT).
