FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. - Saint Louis track and field broke several school records and met numerous personal bests at the John McDonnell Invitational this weekend at the University of Arkansas.

Callan Luetkemeyer got things started with a new school record in the hammer throw, finishing fifth in the event with a mark of 146-11. Hannah Kuenzel established a school record in the shot put with a heave of 45-2.25, which was good for second.

On the men's side, Brian Holdmeyer turned in a school record in the 5,000 meters, finishing in a time of 14:29.11, which was good for third.

Among the student-athletes posting PRs was Allison Walter, who completed the 400 meters in 56.26 for the Bills' top time this season. Brittany Bastain's 200-meter time of 25.60 is also a PR and the top SLU time of the year thus far.

Margo Richardson placed fourth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:27.56 for a seasonal best. Brittney Cloudy was second in the long jump with a season best of 19-3.25, and second in the triple jump with a distance of 39-4.

On the men's side, Sean Canavin PR'd in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.00. Dahmar Smiles just missed qualifying for the finals in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in a time of 14.68.

The Billikens go from one top-notch meet to another, competing in the prestigious Drake Relays next week in Des Moines.
