PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Louis cross country squads had a program-record four All-Conference showings Saturday morning at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships in Philadelphia.
On the women's side, junior Margo Richardson and sophomore Jessica Hoefert earned All-Conference honors while leading the women's cross country squad to a fourth-place finish. The fourth-place finish matches the program's best finish, last accomplished in 2010.
Richardson finished fourth overall with a 5K time of 17:50.5. It is the third time in as many years that she has claimed All-Conference honors. Hoefert finished 13th after posting a time of 18:20.3.
For the men, sophomores Tim Zellmer and Michael Scolarici became the first men's runners to claim A-10 All-Conference nods. Zellmer placed 12th overall with an 8K time of 26:07.8. Scolarici finished 15th with a time of 26:09.1.
Also scoring on the women's side was sophomore Natalie Myers, who finished 20th with a time of 18:34.2. Junior Lauren Fyalka placed 26th with a time 18:38.8, while sophomore Jamee Holmes turned in a 78th-place time of 19:35.
In addition to Zellmer and Scolarici, junior James Collins, freshman Nathan Rubellke and senior Logan Davis also scored for the Bills. Collins placed 75th with a time of 27:27.7, just ahead of Rubellke (77th, 27:31.3). Davis turned in an 85th-place time of 27:43.1.
