ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis baseball squad is receiving votes in the Collegiate Baseball Preseason poll. The Billikens are one of three Atlantic 10 Conference teams to receive votes. Rhode Island and conference newcomer VCU also received votes. It is the first time the Bills have earned votes in a preseason poll.

Head coach Darin Hendrickson returns for his sixth season at the helm for Saint Louis. The reigning A-10 Coach of the Year led the Bills to a no. 30 ranking by Collegiate Baseball last season. The Billikens also recorded a school record 41 wins and compiled a record 13-game winning streak.

Saint Louis returns seven starters and its entire weekend rotation from a team that won the A-10 regular season title a year ago. On the hill, the Billikens are led by senior Alex Alemann who has 21 career wins, the second-highest total in SLU history. At the plate, the Bills are powered by the senior trio of Alex Kelly (.326 avg/.403 OBP/.487 SLG in 2012), Grant Nelson (.314/.409/.429) and Steve Fernandez (.304/.397/.402).

The Billikens kick off the 2013 campaign in Tulsa, Okla. on Feb. 15 against the Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts.
