ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis is the No. 11 seed for the 35th annual Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Tennis Championship and will take on No. 6 Temple in a first-round match Thursday, April 25, at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CT).

The winner of the match between the Billikens (6-12) and Owls (6-11) will advance to the quarterfinals of the 14-team single-elimination tournament to face the Charlotte-La Salle winner Friday at noon (CT).

VCU, playing its first season in the A-10 after winning the Colonial Athletic Association title last year, is the top seed. The Rams, ranked 29th nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, received a bye into the quarterfinals along with No. 2 seed George Washington, the two-time defending A-10 champion.

Charlotte is the No. 3 seed, followed by Xavier, Duquesne, Temple, Richmond, Saint Joseph’s, Butler, Fordham, Saint Louis, St. Bonaventure, Dayton and La Salle.

Last season, Saint Louis was edged 4-3 by Fordham in the opening round.

The semifinals are set for Saturday at 9 a.m. and noon (CT). Sunday’s title match, which determines the A-10’s automatic qualifier for the NCAA Championship, begins at 9 a.m. (CT).
