ST. LOUIS – The Saint Louis cross country squads competed in the Forest Park XC Festival Friday afternoon at Central Fields in Forest Park.
Jamee Holmes paced the women's squad, finishing fifth overall in the 5K with a time of 19:31. On the men's side, Thomas Beddome led the Billikens in the 6K with a 15th-place finish of 20:09.
As a team, the women placed third out of 10 squads, while the men's side finished fourth out of 10.
Madie Alexander was the next Billiken finisher on the women's side, placing 12th overall with a time of 19:50. Kayla Snyder and Emily Meingast finished 18th and 21st with times of 20:20 and 20:36, respectively. Jenna DiValerio finished 28th overall with at time of 21:03.
For the men, Eric Stoddard pulled in just behind Beddome in a time of 20:14. Brandon Hart was close to the lead Billiken pack, finishing 22nd overall. Jeff Orf (25th, 20:26) and James Collins (20th, 20:48) rounded out SLU's top five.

The Billikens return to action next Friday, Sept. 20, for the National Catholic Invitational at the University of Notre Dame. It will be the season debut for All-Conference returners Margo Richardson, Jessica Hoefert, Michael Scolarici and Tim Zellmer.
