Mackin and Rogers Score Against La Salle

ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis field hockey team fell to La Salle 7-2 in Philadelphia. The Billikens are now 1-17 overall and 0-5 in Atlantic 10 play.

The Explorers scored three times in the first half to carry a 3-0 lead to the break.

In the second, Faith Mackin scored for the Billikens on a long shot that beak the La Salle goalie. Jami Alexander earned the assist.

La Salle tacked on four more goals in the second, but with five minutes to play, Megan Rogers tallied her fifth goal of the season off a penalty corner. Jenell Murphy got the assist on the play.

The Bills wrap up the 2013 regular season next weekend, Nov. 1, when they take on Atlantic 10 newcomer Saint Francis in Loretto, Pa. First whistle is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CT).
