ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis freshman Aspen Cervin (Houston, Texas/Laurel Springs) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference women’s tennis Performer of the Week for Feb. 17-23.

Cervin posted perfect slates in singles (No. 1) and doubles (No. 2) to lead the Billikens to wins over SIUE, Southeast Missouri State and Missouri Baptist. She came from behind in two of her singles victories, defeating SIUE’s Lexi Aranda 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 and SEMO’s Valeriia Kashina 4-6, 6-4, 10-8. Cervin downed Nika Juricic of Missouri Baptist 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles play, Cervin teamed with Maria Toro for an 8-1 win over SIUE’s Kali Donner and Mia Frogner and a 6-4 triumph over SEMO’s Melissa Martin and Heather Robinson. She and Taylor Monken blanked Kathryn Randolph and Sheena Payton of Missouri Baptist 6-0.

The Billikens, who have won five consecutive matches to improve to 6-3, host two matches this weekend at Sunset Tennis Center. SLU faces Cleveland State Friday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. and takes on Lindenwood-Belleville the following day at 6 p.m.
