WASHINGTON – Saint Louis women’s tennis overcame the loss of the doubles point and defeated Atlantic 10 Conference rival George Washington 4-3 Monday morning at East Potomac Tennis Center.

The Billikens (8-4) got an 8-1 win from Stephanie Hollis and Brooke Urzendowski at No. 1 doubles, but GW (3-4) took a 1-0 lead by prevailing at Nos. 2 and 3.

However, SLU won four of the six singles matches, including a 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 triumph by Natalia Yacaman at No. 3. Aspen Cervin (No. 1), Urzendowski (No. 4) and Madison Cook (No. 6) won in straight sets.

Up next for Saint Louis is a trip to Bronx, N.Y., to take on A-10 foe Fordham Tuesday morning.
