BRONX, N.Y. – Saint Louis women’s tennis collected its second victory in as many days over an Atlantic 10 Conference rival on Tuesday, nudging Fordham 4-3.

The Billikens, who improved to 9-4 on the season with their eighth win in nine matches, had to come from behind after losing the doubles point. Aspen Cervin and Maria Toro registered an 8-2 triumph at No. 2.

Amongst SLU’s four singles victories were a pair of three-set affairs, including Toro’s grueling 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-1) win over Destiny Grunin at No. 5. Cervin prevailed 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 over Elliesa Ball at No. 1. Natalia Yacaman handled Angelika Dabu 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3, while Madison Cook topped Anika Novacek by the same score at No. 6.

The Billikens’ next match is Friday, March 21, at Chicago State.
