ST. LOUIS Saint Louis freshman Aspen Cervin (Houston, Texas/Laurel Springs) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference women’s tennis Rookie of the Week for March 11-17. It is the second A-10 weekly honor for Cervin, who earlier this season was recognized as the league’s Performer of the Week.

Cervin played a key role in the Billikens’ 4-3 victory over A-10 opponent Fordham March 11. She posted a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 No. 1 singles triumph over Elliesa Ball and paired with Maria Toro for an 8-2 win over Anika Novacek and Destiny Grunin at No. 2 doubles.

Cervin has captured seven consecutive singles victories to improve to 15-6 overall and 9-4 in dual competition. She leads Saint Louis in total singles wins and is tied for the team lead in dual-meet singles wins. Cervin also has won six of her last eight doubles contests.

The Billikens (9-4), winners of eight of their last nine matches, play at Chicago State Friday, March 21.
