Neither team could score again until the 13th inning. Solé led off with a double down the left field line. He later scored on a Bonnie error. Eckelman shut down SBU in the bottom of the frame to seal the 3-2 win for SLU.

Saint Louis tabbed another run in the top of the seventh, but St. Bonaventure responded with three in the bottom of the inning. SBU tacked on four runs in the eighth to tie the game heading to the ninth. The Bonnies won the game on a sacrifice fly to left, giving SLU its first defeat in the A-10 this season.
