Saint Louis volleyball picked up a pair of victories to open the Crimson-White Tournament in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The Billikens topped Virginia and Alabama in five sets, their first two five set wins of the season. The wins bump SLU to 5-5 overall. It was the first time SLU has won back-to-back five-set matches since the 2002 season.

- Nenye Okoro led the Billikens in the first set, recording a team-best four kills on six attempts and a team leading four digs. However, SLU fell 22-25.
- The Billikens struggled in the second set, but Meredith Boe and Mackenzie Long tallied three digs each as Saint Louis dropped set two 25-14.
- The Bills came out of the break with a 25-19 win. Danielle Rygelski tallied six kills to lead SLU and Long patrolled the back line with six digs. 
- Megan Gilbert dominated the fourth set with seven kills as SLU forced a fifth set with a 25-18 win.
- In the deciding set, Rygelski paced SLU with four kills on nine attempts without an error to lead the Billikens to a five-set win as they won the fifth 15-9.
- Rygelski led all hitters with 17 kills in the match. Gilbert was close behind with 12 kills and a .417 attack percentage.

- Taylor Paulson led Saint Louis in the opening set with six kills as SLU fell 25-19.
- Paulson continued to thrive in the second set with six kills on eight attempts with one error (.625 attack percentage), but a late Crimson Tide run gave Alabama the set 26-24.
- The Billikens rebounded in the third set on the merits of five kills from Nenye Okoro, four kills from Paulson and three kills from Danielle Rygelski as SLU captured the third 25-20.
- Rygelski and Okoro had five kills each in the fourth as the Bills used a .353 attack percentage to win set four 25-21.
- Rygelski had four kills in the fifth set to lead SLU to a 17-15 win over Alabama.
- Paulson was the top hitter in the match, posting match highs with 20 kills and a .400 attack percentage. 
- Rygelski also had 20 kills and added 12 digs for a double-double. Okoro (14K, 13D) also registered a double-double.
- Meredith Boe posted a season-best 53 assists for the Billikens. It was her 15 career match with 50+ assists.

The Billikens conclude the Crimson-White Tournament against Troy tomorrow at 4 p.m.
