ST. LOUIS – La Salle used a hot second half to upend Saint Louis 75-54 Wednesday in Atlantic 10 Conference men’s basketball action at Tom Gola Arena.
The Billikens fall to 4-10 overall and 0-2 in league play, while La Salle improves to 7-5 and 1-1 in the league.
The Billikens were led by senior forward Reggie Agbeko and junior guard Davell Roby, who scored 14 points apiece. Senior guard Mike Crawford chipped in 11 points for the Billikens.
La Salle led 33-26 at halftime, but exploded out of the gates with a 10-1 run in the second half to put the game out of reach. The Saint Louis defense held one of the league’s most potent offenses to 14.3 percent shooting from 3-point range in the first half, but La Salle connected on more than 50 percent of its shots from the arc in the second.
Saint Louis returns to Chaifetz Arena on Sunday, Jan. 8, to host Davidson. Tip time is 1 p.m., and the game will be televised nationally on NBCSN.
