ST. LOUIS – Hiob Gebisso and Katherine Kelly of the Billikens’ indoor track and field squads were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference’s All-Academic team, the league announced.

A mathematics major from Augsburg, Germany, Gebisso also was named Academic All-Conference after the outdoor season last season. Kelly, an education major from Chesterfield, Mo., collects the first Academic All-Conference nod of her career.

Gebisso medaled at the A-10 Indoor Championships in the 3,000 meters, pulling across the finish line in third place with a time of 8:29.13 while helping SLU to its best finish ever. He posted a PR in the 3,000 meters earlier this season at the Meyo Invitational, recording a time of 8:18.84.

Kelly also medaled at the A-10 Championships as a member of the Billikens’ 4x800-meter relay team, which finished third overall with a time of 9:08.08. She also participated in the 800 meters at the A-10s and registered the 10th fastest time in the preliminary.

The Billikens begin the outdoor track and field campaign March 17-18 at the Billiken Kickoff meet, which will be held at the SLU Medical Center Stadium.
