ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis’ Ann Harlos and Michael Reader were named Atlantic 10 Conference track and field Performers of the Week Tuesday, the league office announced.
The honors come after a highly successful SLU Invitational, held this past weekend at the SLU Medical Center Stadium on the University campus.
Harlos registered a personal-best time in the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday, crossing the finish line in a time of 1:01.23 to finish third overall. She also placed second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.78. Harlos’ time in the 400-meter hurdles is tops in the A-10 so far this season.
Reader won the high jump on Saturday, reaching a height of 1.95 meters. That was the best mark of the season for Reader and is tied for the top jump in the league this season.
The Billikens return to action this weekend at the Tom Botts Invitational, hosted by the University of Missouri. Harlos will compete in the hurdles at 1:20 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. on Saturday. Reader competes in the high jump beginning at noon Saturday.
